IT'S OVER!

I'm DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONE!

Mazel tov! WOOHOOO!!!! The worst semester of my college career is over. I got my student teaching placement for the first six weeks of next semester and I will be in a first grade classroom at Ramaz. It should be good, because hopefully the first graders don't have the Ramaz attitude yet...

I got to see my parents and little bro today. They came to the city and drove me to Stamford and now I am at Yarchei Kallah. I wish I was here since Tuesday. It is amazing. Over 100 public school kids learning in one room. Incredible.

Okay, bed time. Night night!

HE HAS A NAME!

My newest nephoo had his bris this morning and his name is...
ARYEH!

Mazel Tov!
More pictures on onlysimchas...as always.
I can't wait to see them in 14 days!
Speaking of seeing them...I am going to Crown Heights tomorrow and will hopefully leave with a dress for the wedding! My cousin offered to take me (with her baby!) so I don't have to shlep a dress on the train. :)

Profile Updated

Thanks, friend. I edited my profile, so now I am all set. And thanks for keeping yourself anonymous...you know how I LOVE when people do that.

Another final down the drain. I was really nervous about it because I wasn't 100% knowledgable on the 25 terms we had to know, and I only went through details of 2/5 essay questions. The test this morning only had 7/10 terms and 2 out of the 3 essays were the ones that I had studied! WOOHOO!

Three more finals and I am home free. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THURSDAY AFTERNOON!

Sigh...it seems so far away right now, but before I know it, I will be blogging about my last day of the semester! Yes, I am encouraging myself.

Alright...back to thinking about doing stuff.

2 Down, 4 To Go

2 DOWN! That's right. Next week's are going to be interesting though...VERY interesting.

Dinner at Makor last night was awesome as always. Devora had her birthday dinner early so Kennedy wouldn't miss out. If you don't know Kennedy...oy.

Here are some highlights:

I am heading out to Devora's for her last Shabbos in her apartment. Big meal tonight, oneg following that, small lunch tomorrow and I have to study Jewish History. A girl in my class lives near YU, so I might head over there to study with her...we'll see.

Have a wonderful and restful Shabbos and I hope your Chanukah was enLIGHTening. (Sorry.)

Technology These Days...

Check it out!

(Oh, and DJ, his blanket is not pink. It's double sided. That's just how Shaarei Tzedek does things...)

Wow

The wedding I went to yesterday was unbelievable. One of the best weddings EVER. The chuppah...unforgettable. It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Plus, I got to dance like crazy with my Devora. Who could ask for anything more?

MAZEL TOV, ALIZA AND YEHUDA!

Now I am chilling at Devora's. Finals start on Thursday. (Thursday, Friday, Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Thursday...put 'em together and what have you got? A mental breakdown.)

So exciting.

That's all for now. That and I still need a dress. I might go to Crown Heights next week. Joy.

I hope everyone is doing well. Happy Chanukah!

And, no. There is no baby yet. Don't you think you would know if there was one yet? :)

Today's Inspiration

RABBI COHEN CAME TO STERN TODAY! Rabbi Cohen is one of my favorite teachers from seminary. He taught in a few other seminaries, so there were a million girls waiting to get into a tiny room. We moved to another floor to a bigger room and I got a seat with Perica and other Afikei chicks.

The shiur was unbelievable. I started crying when he started talking because I realized how much I really miss being able to be inspired everyday. I hope to type up the shiur and put it up here. I kept wanting to go over to him at the end to say hi and bye but I was too nervous and I knew I would start crying. Finally, he was getting into the elevator, so I got in next to him and was like, "HI!" He looked at me, smiled and said "Hi! How are you?" Then, of course, I started crying. I asked how his kids were and told him that I didn't even want to know how old his youngest one was (when I was in Shana bet, our class was the only one invited to his bris). He's two years old now. That means that I need to go back to Israel...now.

I am still on a high. I miss Israel.

On another note...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NILI!
I love you!
Alright, psych paper due tomorrow...Devora is my savior. I am staying over her house tonight and dragging textbooks and my laptop with me to dinner with Nili. WOOHOO!
I can't wait for this paper to be over with!

Oops, I Did It Again

Education Paper (FINAL)

Time Started: 11:45pm

Time Finished: 3:33am

Thank you, thank you! It's a pretty good paper if I must say so myself. *Pat on the back*

Tomorrow night, PSYCH PAPER! AKA Party at DJ's. I better have a lot of caffeine...

I love you, DJ!

I will be working for the next few days, so I won't be posting a lot, unless there is good news to share!

I just wanted to say that Shabbos lunch was absolutely amazing with WONDERFUL company!

Happy?

Test Day

Shabbos with DJ @ KJ was AWESOME! We chilled a lot. On Saturday night, we went to the KJ dinner. IT WAS AMAZING! There was a 5 minute d'var Torah, but other than that, there were no speeches! This was not your ordinary shil dinner. The theme was Coney Island. There were a few carnival games, gambling tables, a free photo booth, and a crazy amount of amazing food. Devora is a great date...we had a GREAT TIME! WOOHOO!

I LOVE YOU, DEVORA!!!!

I have to take my second state education test today. You have to take 3 and pass them all to get licensed as a teacher in NY and I need to pass them all to graduate. Don't be jealous. I have to look over the material. Today's test tests my teaching skills PLUS I also get a written assignment. The practice tests are really confusing which makes me all the more excited.

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.

Still Alive

I am still alive. I have a LOT of work to do tonight and for the next few nights.

I went to another cousin's bris this morning. Last week's bris baby was there too, and it was really sweet to see them together.

On the left is Tzvi Yehuda (last week's) and on the right is Yehuda Leib. Aren't they precious Bli Ayin Hara? NEW TOYS FOR ME! :)
I am waiting for my challah dough to rise. I am going to work on the work I have to do on the computer now since there's no way I am getting up. I am definitely having some quality library time tonight. First, I get to see my Leah! One of my favorite NCSYers! WOOHOO!
Good night all!

BLAH BLAH SCHOOL

Lots of papers to do. Lots of finals to worry about. State education test on Sunday. BLAH BLAH SCHOOL! I am so tired of it. Whatever.

ANYWAY, everything otherwise is fine. I still don't have a dress for the wedding, but I did find a beautiful green outfit at Lord and Taylor that I might get...GREEN! I KNOW! There is no color scheme, but my mother wants me her and my sister to match somehow. We shall see.

In other news, school is annoying. Oh, that's not news? Didn't think so.

Tonight I have another LCI performance. First one this semester. We are going to hear Miles Davis's son play blues stuff. I am not explaining LCI again. You can search for it in last year's posts. I'll just tell you that LCI incorporates arts with education. The end.

Alright, I'm out. Have a good day.

TO ETTI "ANONYMOUS"

I TRIED CALLING YOU BACK AND VERIZON TOLD ME THAT MY CALL CAN NOT BE COMPLETED AS DIALED! THAT'S RIGHT. I can't come anyway...but I love you.

In other news, Shabbos was really nice and relaxing. Went to the meal last night, stayed in today. Thank you to my mommy for sending me home with leftovers last week! :)

Hoping to hang with Princess Perica tonight. If she decides she has time for me.

Wedding dress shopping tomorrow...yes, again. Can't wait to see my rents!

Relax!

I decided to stay in for Shabbos. Just in case Sarah needs help with the babies, I am around. My parents are coming into New York on Sunday to go dress shopping again. Party.

So many awesome people are staying in for Shabbos, too! Princess, roomie, etc.

Can't wait to do NOTHING!

Have a great Shabbos!
